Ebay has announced that you can no longer sell your digital products from their website. This means that a large variety of digital items like e-books, software, audio and video will not be provided through eBay in digital form. You cannot send the download links of digital goods to your customers. This ban has been enforced by eBay due to a number of reasons. For instance there were quality issues relating to the e-books and various other digital products. Other reasons included security and user dissatisfaction, in case the products were not of a certain quality. eBay simply tried to maintain the highest level of quality on their website. The e-books sellers and authors were quiet alarmed by the new restrictions implemented by e-Bay, but these new policies also have a good side to them.

Many authors and programmers spent plenty of time and effort in creating their e-books or computer applications. However, large numbers of people started using eBay to get these e-books at cheap prices. They could purchase them for as low as 99 cents. By changing its rules, eBay has increased the value of all the e-books sold on their website. In simple words, the excess amounts of books that have saturated the boards are suddenly valuable. Now people will purchase these e-books at an adequate price. This is great news since people will be able to read the original contents of the author by paying him the due share.

Ebay's restrictions have provided new opportunity for media duplication and distribution services. With ban on digital product sales, people are left with only one alternative. They can sell their digital goods in the form of physical CD's that can be purchased from the e-Bay website. Writing these CDs can be a simple and easy task. You just need a CD/DVD writer for this purpose. There are many CD burning softwares available to assist you in this task. Using this software, you just have to drag and drop the folder containing your e-book to the location you want it to be written. This location is normally your CD or DVD. Then click the burn or write command, to write the CD. Usually, the media duplication and distribution services are there to assist you in writing, packaging and sending these products to your customers all at a very low cost.

Ebay has started the trend by restricting the sales of digital goods. Other auction sites will follow in eBay's footsteps. This means that all those low quality products will not be available on the auction sites, putting an end to customer frustration. This will eliminate baiting. The sellers will provide top quality goods and restrict themselves from selling any products that are not up to the required standards. eBay's digital product restriction has caused panic for most of the sellers but it has also provided opportunities to many creative sellers, who have adapted to the change in the marketplace by selling CD versions of their products.
